What happened

GoldSilver, a bullion education and dealer services website, suffered a data breach in 2018. The breach exposed 250k unique email addresses from customers and mailing list subscribers. The data obtained and stored as MD5 hashes included customers' names, addresses, phone numbers, purchases, passwords, and answers to security questions. In a small number of cases, passport numbers, social security numbers, and partial credit card data were also exposed.
