What happened

The notorious forum, OGusers, which is known for its involvement in account hijacking and SIM swapping, experienced its fourth significant data breach since December 2018. This breach, once discovered, was promptly sold on a competing hacking forum. This compromised data contained usernames, email addresses, IP addresses, and passwords. The passwords were stored in a combination of two formats, either as salted MD5 or the more secure argon2 hashing algorithm. The aftermath revealed that as many as 348,000 unique email addresses were caught up in this breach.
