What happened
WIRED, the technology magazine, allegedly suffered a data breach in December 2025 after data believed to be sourced from parent company Condé Nast was published online. The incident exposed 2.4M user records, with the most recent data dating back to September 2025, and included email addresses and display names, as well as for a smaller subset of users, full names, phone numbers, dates of birth, genders, and geographic location or full physical addresses. The exposed WIRED data is reported to represent only a subset of a larger Condé Nast dataset claimed by the threat actor.
